i have tried loading the latest driver i could find i have tried the exact same driver that works fine on the beta (im dual boting it with the rc as the beta is still more functional for me) The driver that works on the beta is IDT. but all to no avail, the sound does not work.
The driver instaled, and there was the icons for my speakers, front rear center 3.5 mm jacks, however in the sytem tray, it list the device as dissabled back into the control panel to hardware and audio, to ensure all are enabled, all devices ar shown as enabled, i then folowed some advice to ensure all the esential services were started, both windows audio and windows end point loader (think,thats what they were called ) were on automatic, i restarted the services just to be shure. For those who are interested its a intel dp965lt, i did the same as i did with the beta ( apparently intel dosent make the chip for the audio it was a sigmatel which is now idt) foled the links and downloaded the latest idt driver i could find, it hang during the instalation.
I was pleased to se that intel now has sound now with thier High definiton audio driver, however i was distraught to see that there was no microphone or input devices, so i wnt through the process of downloading and instaling the driver for my board. Download the file by clicking the 'Download' or 'Obtain Software' button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved). Desktop models that are running a supported operating system. Hi ive recently updated from the beta (windows 7 ) to the release candidate. Dec 28, HP IDT HD Audio Driver Windows 10 bit.
